Oakfield New Season 2026-27 and it's our 115th year of providing tennis and bowling to the local community

Welcome! The new season is not far away. Once again we will have representation in both the Huddersfield and Calderdale Leagues where we continue to do very well against local clubs much larger than ourselves and with greater resources.

Our philosophy has always been to make tennis accessible to all and our reinvestment in new, all-weather courts in the last 12 months is clear evidence of that.

We are always looking for new members of any age, male and female and in particular families. Our annual fees for this year reflect our desire to provide value for money with a single membership fees and no additional court fees for individuals to play. Come along at anytime and meet the other members, you will be assured of a friendly welcome.

We continue to partner with We Do Tennis every saturday and they provide coaching for all ages. For beginners and players returning to tennis it's a great route back to membership as well. More information and the booking portal can be found at https://wdtvenues.co.uk/oakfield

Our social group, as always is planning to hold several events during the year and we hope to see many members and guests at each one.

Our courts are available for private hire at certain times of the year.

The use of tennis courts is available to members and their guests year round during daylight hours. Please use the complimentary online booking system to reserve your court.

We are also pleased to be introducing Pickleball this year and there will be sessions available on our lower court.

Being honest, our bowling green is a conundrum! We no longer have any teams in local leagues as time marches on - its been a long time since we began in 1911 and interest in bowling has declined. However, the Committee will continue to make our crown green available for casual play during daylight hours, so come along and have a go, there's spare woods in the clubhouse! Use of the bowling green is complimentary with all tennis memberships.
